When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Artist's Comments
We are looking for a dynamic group of 13 designers to compete in Project Designer Cycle 6.
1. Be prepared to submit one deviation every week for about 3-5 months 2. You must be creative and have your own point-of-view. We can't stress this enough. 3. Be prepared to draw things that don't necessarily appeal to your taste, but instead blend your style with it. 4. You will be expected to receive constructive criticism. 5. Don't plagiarize any other design. 6. Create a portfolio of three looks (you might have already submitted these to DeviantArt already). Put these in links on this deviation. 7. Drawing skill isn't THAT important as long as we can UNDERSTAND your illustration and point-of-view, but presentation does help. 8. All designs must be new, this means drawn after the challenge has been announced. 9. If you feel like another designer has broken any of these rules, please note me. lDo noteave comments this will only cause drama. If I post the designs, then I felt they were within the rules. Why do you want to be a part of Project Designer?
I'd like the exposure, the challenge, the meeting of new fellow dA designers (dAsigners?), all that good stuff.

I like to do modern and wearable, something I would actually buy, but at the same time have fun with it and take a new perspective on it. I try to avoid being "tacky" at all costs.

I'm good at critique/helping people out, I'm nice, and hell, I think I've got skills!

I have always tried to design things that are unapologetically beautiful, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. If I can inspire an appreciation for grace and elegance, that would be the ultimate fulfillment of my life's ambition.

I'd really like some recognition in the dA community, as a designer. Also, the relative publicity that Project Designer offers is staggering for me, at my age.

Aarggggh I hate questions like this! Okay, theatrical, inspired, resourceful.
How would you describe your design philosophy or point of view?
My design philosophy is all about standing out. No matter if it's a business meeting, the prom, or even shopping at the mall, everyone wants their voice and personality heard. So therefore, they should buy my clothes!!
Why do you think you would make a great participant?:
I think I'd make a great participant, because I'm not easily stressed, and my work is versatile. I can design some really crazy over the top stuff, but I can also restrain myself and be more sophisticated, even though it kills me.
The over-the-top part is really fun, because IF I get eliminated, the outfit will be attrocious, and that makes for some good designer bashing!!
